Custom Wedding Cake Sign
I've designed a lot of different cake signs for weddings, but this one is by far my favorite! Instead of just listing the flavors and fillings, draw the actual design of your cake with the colors and flowers and write the flavors on each tier. It's a unique detail that will impress your guests. And unlike the real cake, this one will last forever - frame it and it's a keepsake from your wedding day.

Destination Weddings - Maps and Itineraries
I love these calligraphy maps!
I created these for a super cool couple who were getting married in Green Turtle Cay in the Bahamas. The groom had property on the island so they thought it would be the perfect spot for their wedding. Since most of their family and friends weren't familiar with the area they commissioned me to illustrate a map to help their guests find their way around. We added the couples favorite restaurants and landmarks in addition to all the spots where all the wedding festivities were going to take place.
We also made itineraries that provided family and friends with a schedule of activities throughout the weekend. These are perfect for destination weddings and a super cute addition to welcome bags for your out-of-town guests.

London 2012 Olympics
I am so excited about the Olympics!! I always get so emotional when I watch them! The top athletes in the WORLD competing to be awarded the BEST in their sport. I can only imagine all the struggles each of them had to face to get to this level. I am in complete awe of them and wish all athletes from all the countries best of luck, but I will be cheering for the good ole red, white and blue!
GO TEAM USA!!!

The results of free-hand drawing
All these pieces were drawn with pen, no pencil sketching and no erasing. It can be a lot of pressure to not make mistakes, but the cool thing about it is that you just have to commit and trust that the pen is suppose to go wherever it takes you... these are the results of what came out of my head and on to paper. I love them!

Caramels and Calligraphy
I recently celebrated a birthday and one of my favorite gifts I received came from a wonderful woman who has always been a true advocate for satisfying my craving for sweets.
After eating three caramels myself and admiring their super cute packaging, I felt inspired to create calligraphy signs highlighting the unique flavors. My special package included Early Grey Tea and Pear flavored caramels... The two signs below showcases my favorite flavors: Rosemary Sea Salt and Fig.
I'm a huge fan of these confections and they are a perfect favor for a special event or just a nice gift for anyone that appreciates home made goodies.

Map design for AFR Networker
I was so excited to get the call from AFR Event Furnishings to design an original map for their 4th annual networker at the Orlando History Center. I have been to hundreds of vendor parties representing other companies but this was the VERY FIRST event that I represented EMMAY DESIGN and seeing your own logo on marketing material is such a thrilling feeling. To have my logo seen with the top industry vendors in Orlando is very humbling and I am incredibly honored to have partnered up with these trendsetters.
The theme for their mixer was "History Happening" so it was totally fitting to host their event at The Orlando History Center. AFR always does it big so they can't just have one floor... they needed THREE plus the courtyard outside to accommodate the hundreds of people in attendance.
Since their theme was History Happening they showcased 3 specific eras in time: The Roaring Twenties on the 3rd floor, The Awesome 80s on the 2nd floor and modern day featured outside in the courtyard. Below is the finished map and it was received so well I couldn't have been more happy with the end result.
And take a look at the video from the party. Thank you to Tampa Wonderworks Film for putting this together!

Stefanie and Barton's elephant inspired Save the Dates
Stefanie and Barton wanted a unique and personalized way of announcing their engagement to their family and friends.
Having the highest regard for elephants and their symbolism for Commitment and Strength they wanted to incorporate this throughout their wedding. They even got a graphic designer to design their own personal elephant graphic!
When faced with the challenge of coming up with a great Save the Date, we quickly turned to Sweet Maralyn's Chocolates who has done chocolate elephants for us before. They were such a great hit at the previous wedding, we knew that Stefanie and Barton would love these too!

The completed piece. The top of each box was etched with Stefanie and Barton's elephant graphic.
Each elephant was gold dusted and wrapped in a thick celo bag and tied off with organza ribbon and gold beads.
An old world map lined the bottom of the box.
The paper save the date was double layered ivory on top of chocolate brown Stardream paper.

Chris and Christy's New Year's Eve Wedding
Working for a top wedding planner allows me to have the most AMAZING clients. Chris and Christy got married on New Years Eve 2010 and I was asked to design a number of items for their wedding including a reception program and menu, calligraphy for their place cards and even design their aisle runner. I was thrilled to have been a part of their wedding and I love these pictures from their big day.
Menu Card/Itineraries were tucked into each place setting napkin and were bejeweled with Swarovski crystals.
Christy loves hummingbirds and I love how these place cards turned out. I calligraphed each guests name in red ink and then each one was placed on the rim of champagne glasses.
The whole room put together.... so beautiful!
Thanks to Heather Snively of Weddings Unique for the opportunity to work with Christy and Chris and Caroline Johnson Photography for these incredible pictures.

Kim and Jeff's Italian-style Save the Date
I really loved how Kim and Jeff's Save the Dates turned out.
They wanted something elegant and chic that went along with their Italian styled wedding. We decided on shimmery beige or taupe paper with chocolate brown ink.
Add a little leafy floral design and voila - a lovely save the date is born. Their guests will be excited to find this wedding reminder in the mail.
Congratulations Kim and Jeff!
